Spring Study Day
Everyone is welcome to join Essex historian Dr Christopher Starr for interesting talks in four of our favourite medieval churches in central Essex 10.30 am - St Andrew’s, Barnston (Parsonage Lane, CM6 3NY) 11.30 am -St Mary the Virgin, Great Canfield (Church End, CM6 1JT) 12.30 pm - Lunch, own arrangements. 2.00 pm - St Mary the Virgin, High Easter (The Street, CM1 4QW) 3.00 pm - St Andrew’s, Good Easter (Southern Cross Road, CM1 4RX) 4.00 pm - Light refreshments will be available. There are lavatories at Barnston and Good Easter. Parking is available at or near each church. Spring Meeting including AGM and Gepp Lecture
Our Gepp Lecturer for 2018 will be Lord Petre on "An Essex Family's Experience of Recusancy". St Christopher's Church, Willingale, Ongar CM5 0SJ at 8.15pm, following the Annual General Meeting at 7.15 pm and refreshments from 7.45 pm. Open to members and non-members; admission free. Please email martinstuchfield@pentlowhall.uk to be sent further information; it would help us to know if you are planning to attend so that it is possible to gauge numbers for refreshments.

Over Hall Garden
Garden open at Over Hall, Colne Engaine, by kind permission of Michael and Jane Lambert. A rare chance to explore this wonderful garden, not normally open to the public. There is something for everybody, with formal gardens, walled garden, orchard, wooded walk, vegetable garden and much more. Ample parking. Further details to be announced.
