Southend Branch The programme is usually available early in the New Year giving details of venues, mainly in Essex, occasionally Suffolk, Hertfordshire and Kent. The Branch is the last of several established in the 1950s, and initially provided funds just for the repair of local churches. Later on, amounts raised, principally now from the coach outings, are sent as a donation to central funds. We are proud to have maintained a local membership of over eighty for many years. This ensures full coaches on each of the outings and requires early booking to secure a place.
